welcome to my blog
Hi here art lovers, welcome to my first blog on our re-vamped website www.angleseyart.com and www.andrewsouthall.com
I thought this would be a good time to let you know how I hope to use this space to keep you interested and informed about my work, some other contemporary artists work and the work of some of the great masters which heve caught my interst over the years.
Art is a very personal thing and one persons love can be anothers hate and this very often happens because we do not understang the meaning or intention of the work. It is nice to find out why the artist did it this way, what may have been happening in their lives at the time or who the work was done for originally all these may influence the outcome. As viewers a knowledge of these facts enhances the whole appreciation of the artwork.
In the blog I want to explain how and why I work in the style I have developed over the last 10 years, what the pictures mean to me and how the practical artist (maybe you) can broaden the content and interest of their work.
For everyone else I hope to share with you work by my favourite famous and not so famous sculptors and artists and encourage comment and feedback with your views shared on the contact forum page.
It could be fun and I am looking forward to doing some research into the art world to share with you

NEW DESIGN ****WAVERLEY OFF PENARTH*****
This picture brought back memories to me of crossings over to Weston Super Mare pier for days out on the beach and more adventureous journeys to Lundy Island on camping holidays. The decks were always full of people as the paddles cut through the muddy channel waters. Happy days!
